Day #4- Universal Studios

Monday September 19, 2011

We woke up Monday morning and went to Universal Studios. We left the babies at the hotel with my parents and took Kenzie along with us because she could ride all the rides!!

Well as we got to Universal Studios we instantly went on the Jurassic Park ride (which Kenzie ended up loving).

Then of course we rode the Mummy ride (kenzie couldn't ride this one because she was a little to short)
After that we went down to ride the back stage tour even though I have rode it a ton of times its still pretty fun to see everything again.

We also stopped at the kids water play area where Chad, Jeremy, Mark, Riley and Kenzie thought it would be fun to try and get each other wet!!

One of Rileys favorite things that we did was watch the Water World show, it was a really good show!! :D

Through out the day we road Jurassic Park 3 times and the Mummy 4 or 5 times it was super fun because that park was empty!! :D

Day #3- Disneyland

We woke up super early to drive from Escondido to Disneyland, it took about an hour which wasn't bad. We couldn't check into our hotel until 4:00 so we parked in disney parking and then headed to Disneyland. (oh i also forgot to mention that David and Jen had baby Charles on the 17th)

Anna was so excited for Disneyland before we even got in because she could see Mickey stuff everywhere!! It was Halloween time at Disneyland so everything was all decked out for Halloween and the Characters were dressed in costume and everything! It was super fun going during Halloween time so Riley and I have decided we are going to have to hit Disneyland now for every season!!

Our first day At Disneyland we tried to hit as many characters as we could.  We made it to Mickeys house and Minnies house, we also saw Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. We tried to get Goofy a ton of time but man that guy is hard to get a picture with!! :D

We rode tons of rides with Anna and she loved them all, her favorite ended up being Buzz!! :D We also watched the Soundsational Parade, it was a really awsome they had all the characters with there movies theme song!! Disney ALWAYS knows how to put on the best parades and costumes!!

Later that night we tried to watch the Fantastmic show that disney does but Anna didn't really like it!!
So we went and walked around the stores and then watched the fireworks. But because its so chaotic after the shows they block things off so us older kids decided we would park Grandma and Grandpa on a bench with the 2 sleeping babies (anna and brandon) While us (Me Riley Jeremy Jaclyn and Mark) went and got on Big Thunder Railroad (my favorite) and Indiana Jones!! Then it was back to the Hotel for the night!!

All the babies were super exhausted by the end of the day that everyone slept really well (well Anna did at least)

Day #2- Seaworld

Day 2- Seaworld
 Saturday September 17, 2011 we went to Seaworld San Diego, now Seaworld is probably one of my favorite parks. I just love seeing all the animals and getting to feed and hold the different kinds! Anna was kind of cranky at Seaworld cause she was teething and didn't sleep very well the night before so it was kind of a rough day with her. But she did enjoy looking at all the animals and getting to spend the day with all the cousins

Well at Seaworld they have a ride called Atlantis, it has a couple different drops in it and it was Makenzie (my 5 year old niece) very first  roller coaster and she loved it.  Her face in our picture was priceless so Chad and Shelley did buy it. Also jeremy lost his hat on the coaster which was kind of funny cause we made fun of him the rest of the day for it. By the end of the day we had road Atlantis twice because Kenz wanted to ride it again!!

We also watched the dolphin show (which was a new one) and we didn't really like it. It was more about people dressed as birds rather then showing the dolphins, but when it did show the dolphins it was pretty cool.

Then of course the feeding of the dolphins I mean we have to feed the dolphins. Well we had to wait in line for about an hour and while in line Anna took her nap, which was super nice.

Then we got to feed the dolphins Anna was a bit afraid of them. She didn't want to touch them at all but Riley and I enjoyed feeding and petting them. Kenzie, Logan and Brandon enjoyed feeding and touching them though.

Then we took the little ones to the little elmos play land and that is where Anna got to ride her first ride which was Elmo's flying fish and she loved it very much.

Then off to the Shamu show it was a good show but we noticed that they didn't interact with the whales very much like they use too! But still an awesome show.

And of course we went through and saw all the other animals through out the park and it was super fun. By the end of the day Anna had really enjoyed it and was also very exhausted, so off to bed we went!!

California Trip Day #1- Drive there

Well Friday September 16, we left at 8:00 a.m. to drive out to California. Everybody met at our house to load up the cars and top carriers we took our car which seats 6 and then my moms car which seats 7 and there were 13 of us so it worked out perfectly.

As we got going my moms top carrier kept rubbing up against there car so we stopped in Nephi and got some socks from Riley's parents to shove where it was rubbing and that made things all better. In my car we had us 3 then jeremy, jaclyn and brandon! The ride was really nice and quiet because everyone slept most of the way and we have a dvd player so we watched movies the whole way! Once we got to Vegas though I was driving and a car cut me off and swerved around a tire that was lying in the road and i didn't have a chance to see it so we hit it and ended up swerving all over the road and it didn't help that we had an extra 200lbs on top but don't worry we survived with out rolling or hurting anyone or hurting the car, it was a miracle!! :D we made it to Escondido safely around 7:00p.m. and everyone was tired and worn out and just wanted to sleep but it was an awesome hotel. We stayed at the Lawerence Welk hotel it was just a really awesome hotel!!

Birthday Baby..Toddler??

September 10, 2009 our sweet little Anna was born. She was 6 weeks early and only 4.8 lbs and 17 inches long but the healthiest little thing ever! She was so sweet and precious and the prettiest little baby girl you have ever seen. And last Saturday...

September 10, 2011 our little Baby Anna turned 2 which now means she is not our BABY Anna she is our Toddler Anna. She now weighs 23.5 lbs and is 33 inches tall!

Her Birthday was such a blast and a work in progress from the beginning of the year!! Riley and I have been buying presents since January for this little girls birthday and to start the birthday out Riley and I woke up at 7:00am to sneak 70 blown up balloons and 20 helium balloons into miss Annas room so she would have a surprise to wake up too!

Around 8:00am we could hear her over the monitor yelling BALLOON, BALLOON!! She was so happy and just couldn't get over all the balloons in her room!

Then Daddy made Anna some very special pancakes for her birthday

Yep you guessed it Mickey Mouse!!


Later that day Daddy took her on a date for her birthday (a tradition we are wanting to start) and he got her a very pretty necklace (another tradition we are wanting to start, getting her something very special).

Then it was party time!!!

Grandma Susan made Anna her birthday cake which was super cute and very good tasting and she had tons of friends come to her party!! And I made her pinata which NO BODY could break open. And she made a haul on presents (toys and clothes)

It was such a fun party and I cant wait till next years!!
